I am right with you on the weight loss. I don't have any outstanding health issues and I don't want to. Plus, I want to run with the kids and set an example of health and being active myself.
Do you have an ipod? If so, you could try the couch to 5k program. There are free pod casts. Not getting to the gym during the week, I would say maybe shoot for this when it is warmer outside.
Could you run/ walk outside for 1/2 an hour?
Other ideas you could do at home would be a yoga DVD, or evil Jillian Michaels and the 30 day shred.
